Marble Run strength and stability
A problem that children sometimes encounter when designing their own Marble Runs for the first time is how to make their Marble Run structure really strong and stable.
There are a number of ways to achieve this, such as:
Design your structure as a tower with a triangular cross-section, as shown in the photo.
To achieve maximum strength, make sure you have at least two bridge or track sections going across each side of the tower. This will help to keep the columns vertical.
To achieve maximum stability, place the Marble Run on a level, smooth surface (preferably not thick carpet). This is particularly important when using the Spiral, as unevenness in the surface may prevent the marble from running right around the spiral.
